Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Effective Date: July 5, 2026
This page is maintained by ClassSwap LLC to explain our practices regarding the sale of personal information and the rights of California residents under the California Consumer Privacy Act ("CCPA") and California Privacy Rights Act ("CPRA").
We Do Not Sell Personal Information
ClassSwap LLC does not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for monetary or other valuable consideration. This includes, but is not limited to, your name, email address, school name, class listings, swap requests, messages, schedule screenshots, and any usage data collected through your interactions with the platform.
Why We Collect Your Information
We collect user data solely to operate the ClassSwap platform. This includes matching students for class swaps, sending notifications about swap requests and matches, verifying student status, moderating content, preventing fraud, improving the platform, and complying with legal obligations. We do not use your personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising.
Your Right to Opt Out
Under the CCPA, California residents have the right to opt out of the sale of their personal information. Because ClassSwap does not sell personal information, no opt-out action is needed. If our practices ever change and we begin selling personal information, we will update this page and provide a mechanism for you to opt out before any sale occurs.
Service Providers
We may share limited information with service providers that help us operate the platform, such as hosting, analytics, and email delivery providers. These service providers are contractually prohibited from using your personal information for any purpose other than providing services to ClassSwap, and they are not permitted to sell your information.
Your California Privacy Rights
If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the CCPA/CPRA:
- Right to know: request the categories and specific pieces of personal information we have collected about you.
- Right to delete: request deletion of the personal information we have collected about you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
- Right to correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information we maintain about you.
- Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.
