This page is maintained by ClassSwap to explain the rules and expectations for using the ClassSwap platform.
Acceptance of Terms
By using ClassSwap you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree do not use the platform.
Ownership
ClassSwap and all its content, features, and functionality are owned by ClassSwap and protected by US copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of ClassSwap without written permission.
Eligibility
You must be a currently enrolled college or university student with a valid .edu email address to use ClassSwap. By signing up you confirm you are enrolled at the school associated with your email.
User Responsibilities
You agree to: only post classes you are actually enrolled in, upload only authentic unedited screenshots of your official school schedule, not post false or misleading listings, treat other students with respect in all communications, not share personal contact information in the chat system, and not attempt to defraud other students.
Prohibited Conduct
You may not: impersonate another student, post fake class listings, manipulate or photoshop schedule screenshots, use profanity hate speech or harassment, attempt to bypass the .edu verification, scrape or copy data from ClassSwap, or use ClassSwap for any commercial purpose.
Fraud and Enforcement
ClassSwap uses AI verification to detect fake listings and edited screenshots. Fraudulent listings will be removed immediately. Users found to be posting fake listings will be permanently banned. ClassSwap reserves the right to report fraudulent activity to the relevant school's administration.
Swaps and Transactions
ClassSwap is a matching platform only. We do not guarantee that any swap will be successfully completed. The actual drop and add of classes must be done through your school's official registration system. ClassSwap is not responsible for any academic consequences resulting from a swap.
Intellectual Property
The ClassSwap name, logo, and platform are the exclusive property of ClassSwap. Any unauthorized use of our name or brand will be pursued legally.
Termination
ClassSwap reserves the right to suspend or permanently ban any account that violates these terms without notice or refund.
Limitation of Liability
ClassSwap is provided as-is. We are not liable for any academic, financial, or personal damages resulting from use of the platform.
Changes to Terms
We may update these terms at any time. Continued use of ClassSwap after changes means you accept the new terms.
